How would spacer pucks serve the same purpose as spring retainers?

If you really put that LT kit to work articulating, you're going to want the spring retainers. There's a LOT of travel there for a 3 inch lift.

Yup...but a one inch plastic "spring guide" is no substitute for spring retainer clips. Comparing those pucks to retainer clips is like comparing a come-a-long to a winch.

By not being willing to spend the $75 or $100 dollars on spring retainer clips, you may be increasing your total lift height to about 5 inches. Most people that are putting that kind of lift on rigs end up with:

-2 new driveshafts
-8 new control arms
-significant changes to drag link or pitman arm
-2 new track bars

All of these things are needed to keep you steering geometry, road manners, pinion angle, and driveline issues under control.

The hd is for carrying more weight in the vehicle or towing heavier loads it dosnt mean they are tougher.
got any pics?

They all have pretty close to the same spring rate they are just taller springs. People go the HD springs to get the extra lift. OME confuses everybody by calling it a 2" lift.
