OME HD 2" install... WTF

If you were expecting the OME springs to "drop" in, that may be your problem. You will definitely need to force the springs over the lower spring mount, then they will pop in. As mentioned, helps alot to use 2 floor jacks, one on each end of the axle to use leverage to further droop your axle. I have installed 4 OME kits now, and that is by far the best advice I can give you during the install.

BTW, on my 1st JK, an "X", I didn't have to drop the cross member (for DL clearance) to install the lift, on the new Rubicon, I did; same lift. Who knows.
Ok, my turn to be a moron... didn't anyone use spring compressors to do this job!? Just 2 hooks on a piece of threaded rod. I woul dthink that the whole job would be easier with compressers...
