If I needed speed I would not have purchased a Jeep.

For me it aint about speed.

The JK is built like a tank and that's the way I like it.

Personally i am a fan of diesel. so easy to add rediculous amounts of horse/torque. Most diesels can get almost another 100hp with just a tuner and an intake. They also get much better gas milage. My dream would be to drop in a cat engine. They produce insain amounts of torque at very low rpms and run forever. If i dropped the 4cl turbo in it would hopefully raise the jk's gas milage close to 30 and if tuned properly could put out sick amounts of torque. Unfortunaly this would require an advanced level of skill that i currently do not posses. Maybe one day i will own Jeep and then I can work out a deal with cat for their awsome engines.
After all of that I am still very happy with my jk's power. I used to have a GC with a 4.0 and it was a dog. I think the jk is peppy in comparison.

Dayum! I would think a diesel would blow up if fed gas?

The ULTIMATE JK if you want speed, hauling ability and if you can squeeze one in and if the frame could hold it:

5.9L Cummins Turbo Diesel with
Edge Juice stacked with Predator/ Bully dog or Quadzilla, PDR Twin Turbo, 4 inch free flow exhaust, AFE CAI and maybe Propane injection = +600HP and +1000lb/ft of torque....and good fuel economy to boot and leave a few muscle cars in a haze of black smoke!
