Default Off Road Lights

Has anyone installed off road lights like PIAA's, Hella's, or other brands? I'm thinking about getting a set and was thinking about mounting them on top of the stock bumper, maybe above the stock fogs or closer together in the center. I've also seen brackets that allow you to mount them on each side of the Jeep by the windshield. I'd like to see pics if you've added lights. Also, what lights do you guys recommend. I had Hella 500's on my 93 YJ. They weren't the brightest, but then the price is pretty reasonable. I saw a set of PIAA 520's on Quadratec that look nice, but are much more expensive. Thoughts?

Yep. I put them on the pillars. They work great for those A-holes who cut in the carpool lane when there not supposed to at 5am!

I have some PIAA dual beam, but haven't decided how to mount them yet. Thinking about on top of the LoD bumper, waiting for a winch hoop, or on a fairlead roller mount.

Those look nice, and your Jeep is the same color as mine! I may consider those.

I would also like to see pics of lights mounted on top of the center section of the bumper (if anyone has done that).

so when you turn those babies on how much glare do you get off the hood? I had some pillar mounts on my CJ for like 2 days before they were thrown out because I could not see anything.

I used the long range lights on the pillars for that same reason. They throw a pencil beam out a little bit better than the driving lights that have the fluted lens. Of course they light up everything but the glare is not bad. When I finally get my PURE JEEP bumpers (what about them Trent) I have a set of driving lights for the bumper.

pardon my ignorance, but can those brackets be used to mount mirrors when the doors are off?
