Oba systems
Im looking to upgrade my portable air to oba. Ive got a couple questions.
1) what compressor are u guys using? And would u recommend it?
2) do u run it with an air tank? Is it necessary to have a tank? How big of a tank?
I know thats more than 2 questions. Im a newb only had a jeep since april this year and loving every minute of it

Hey there! I don't have a whole Lot of experience with it yet, but I just bought and installed the heavy duty viair Oba system with jk brake booster mount. No tank. I love it. I have only used it top off the tires thus far but it has worked great. I got mine for a great deal from northridge4x4! I'd like to rout an airline through the fire wall and mount the chuck by the driver side door but I can't find the right length airline. They are Either way to long or just a little too short. I love knowing that I have the ability to fill on the go. hope this helps a little.

Search for this thread on this forum. This is the kit that I got. I love it and it works great. I don't run a tank though. I would like to get one in the future just to speed up inflation times or to be able to run air tools if needed, but it is not really necessary.

There are alot of ways you can go about this but the answers to the 2 questions I just posted will narrow it down a bit.
A tank is nice because it gives you a little buffer between tires making it a little quicker to fill up which is nice with bigger tires.

What size tires are you running? What budget do you have in mind?

I think for that price one of the Viair kits would be your best bet given the completeness of their kits.

Im runnning the northridge arb kit under the hood. Have for when i air down and because i run no spare so i carry plugs. I dont run a tank i like it because i have a 2 dr and are limited to space and it sits nice and tucked away under the hood and is easy to get too.
