Northridge 4x4 X viair onboard air ?

Haha, yes!
I've been through the where do I mount it issue with 2 jeeps. First one I bolted it to the floor under passenger seat. Second one, NR used a mount on the underside of passenger seat. I prefer it inside the cab, it stays out of the way and is easy to access.

This is why I want mine inside. Easy to get to and avoids the mud and dirt outside. Also avoids the terrible amount of salt used on our roads in the winter here in ontario. I'm just concerned how loud this thing might get when running lockers. I don't care if it's loud while airing up though

I doubt the noise will bother me because my hearing isn't very good to begin with.

These are the same reasons why I think mounting in the rear storage will be better that mounting under the hood. I will try it out on a hard trail Saturday. However, I just bought a soft top and will be topless on the trail because of a section known to crack hard tops. So this will be another excuse to have the top off.

Ended up mounting it under the passenger seat. Less of a wiring hassle. I didn't think it would fit because I have an amp under there. The amp is mounted to the floor, the compressor is mounted to the bottom of the seat.

I tried it out on Saturday on a black diamond trail that required the lockers to be used a lot. With it under the front passenger seat, it didn't really mind the noise. The seat does seem to muffle it a lot. I could see how some might want it in the rear storage because of the noise, but I don't really mind. I think it's cool to hear it when you turn off the locker and hear the air release.
When airing up, it was definitely faster than the Viair 400C. I went to check on my first tire in the midst of attaching my sway bar links. The point where my Viair would've been half done, it was already at 34 PSI. I keep it at 31, so actually had to let some air out. I'm very happy with it.
