Default The noobtastic build!

Just ordered my first modification for my new (to me) JKU! I am picking up the ARB Old Man Emu 4" lift kit! This is the start of a long ( and expensive ) road for the ole girl. Speaking of... I have yet to come up with a name for her! Any suggestions?

I have a long list of mods that I am pondering, but it will most likely take me a few years to accumulate enough capitol to achieve my goal! I will be posting pics of the build starting with the lift this weekend. Any comments / concerns would be appreciated... even if you just want to poke at my supreme noobness!

Thanks guys! (and gals)

I would invest in a front driveshaft sooner then later. Buddy of mine had this lift and got more like 5" of lift on his jku.

Driveshafts are definitely on my to do list. I have a buddy who is pretty familiar with JKU lifts helping me out / teaching me a lot in the process of the build. Thanks for the input!

Forgive my ignorance, but I called it the noobtastic thread for a reason! I'm not entirely sure what you mean. Can you explain?

Edit: Never mind, I figured it out. Look what happens when I do some research! lol

What do you think about the Tom Woods drive shafts?

All ds are pretty much the same just make sure they come with quality u joints such as spicer. From what I have read in the past woods shafts now come with cheaper Chinese u joints but you can order them with spicer joints which is what I would recommend.

I think the main source of that statement was a disagreement between a former forum admin and a vendor who chose not to pay. I have been running a front woods shaft for about 4 years now with no issues.

Coast/JE Reel/Tatton/Adams are all good choices. Regardless of which you choose, there is some great information on Woods website.

X2 on Tom Woods shafts. They are a local company here in Ogden, Utah and I've been to their shop a few times. They take a lot of pride in the fact that they do quality work. No cheap shortcuts! I've had a front shaft with 1310 u-joints since 2008 and had zero problems. Customer support is top notch!!!
