Default Noisy Smittybilt roof rack

Has anybody found a way to tame the noise of their roof rack? Mine sounds like a tornado at 60+ mph!! I have all the holes plugged and even turned the light mounts around on the front to face backwards and its still pretty loud. Couldn't imagine what it would sound like with a basket on there!!

No solution found yet. I'm contemplating taking off the three crossbars to reduce the drag and wind noise when I'm not carrying my kayak, etc. I really love it though, and you do get used to the extra noise.
