Default NOISE - new intake installed, is it normal?

Just installed a new Volant Cold Air intake yesterday. When I was done I took it out for a little spin. I noticed on take off (first 0-10mph, >2500rpms) there is a wine / whistle. Once that subsided there was a nice throaty grumble. I am assuming the grumble is normal and is the new intake doing it's job.

What's up with the whistle?? Is it just the air hitting the new intake and creating this noise?? Should I be concerned or try to adjust something to make is go away? Anyone else have this issue and solved it?

Any info would help - THANKS!!

I have the same sound with my Airaid intake. Very common from what others have told me.

Yep. They are all louder than stock. The whistle is normal.

Good to know. I tried to contact Volant but since it's the weekend they haven't gotten back to me yet.

I thought something wasn't right on mine when this happened with me but everyone is right to say its normal. You'll get used to It!

I'm thinking an exhaust will mask the sound ?

Usually If u step on the gas harder it won't whistle

Yea, I need to do more research on that mod also. I don't want the full size truck sound (it would just be strange coming from a jeep), but looking for a nice system that gives added performance also.
