No lift 2012 rubicon squeezing 35's
Just picked up a 2012 Rubicon yest and unfortunately moving across country so no time to put a lift in yet.... will I be able to squeeze my 35x17 on there with maybe just a fender/ front bumper chop. Any info is a help

You will most likely rub, had a set of 34's on mine with a 2" zone bb and had some slight rubbing in forward and reverse when turning. I had more than adequate backspacing, you will also have to trim the rear pinch seam

I put 35" tires on my 2012 JKU when I drove it to the shop for the lift install. I didn't want to figure out how to transport my 35" tires to the shop after the lift was installed. The tires rubbed several times during the 20 mile road trip. I wouldn't recommend it.

i had my tires installed before i got my lift and the precautions i took were to put teraflex bumpstops on the rear axle and i had the tire shop neatly trim my front air dam a little. i had zero rubbing on average driving for about two days. rubi rails come close but you can sawzal an inch off the rear sides. by all means you don't want to do this for long term because its just simply not safe especially if you hit a hard bump at high speeds or run over your curb and knock a fender off. but if its short term to get from point a to point b for a few days, you'll be fine. the dealership that i bought my jkur from puts 35's on stock jk's but i don't know what the outcome is.
