Default With no lift- 17x8.5 wheel, 4.7inch backspacing, 5x5, +10mm offset, 33"

'10 unlimited Sahara...

Looking at the AEV Pintler Argent wheel, 17x8.5, 4.7 inch backspacing, +10mm offset (not sure what offset means), and be putting 33" tires on it.

Have read that 33's on 17x8 with 4.5 inch backspace should fit with no lift, but this wheel has 4.7 backspacing...Will this fit with no lift? Eventually I will add TF 2.5" BB or coil lift, but what about till then?

Yes and no. It will fit and you can drive it on the road but it will rub if you take it off road or prob even if you turn sharp. I ran almost the same set up for a couple of weeks prior to my lift and didn't have a problem on the road. At hard turn the tires hit the plastic shroud but caused no problems.

what Calypso said. for the most part, you should be fine without any lift - just minor rubbing off road and maybe at a full turn. the backspacing is on the high side but just by a bit but with 33's, it won't make a difference.

The +10mm offset will pull the wheel closer to the body, a - 10mm will push the wheel outwards.
I just bought 18x9 wheels, - 10mm offset with 4.50" backspace so the wheel will stick out about 1 1/2" over stock, 3" wider overall.

You should be okay depending on your width of tire. A 33x12.50 tire you will have some rubbing on the rear fender flares at full flex & off-roading (fairly minor). Also, you may rub on the plastic front air dam at full steering lock. You can trim the air dam to avoid this.

I would suggest having your tire guy mount a tire/wheel on the front first and drive around the parking lot turning sharp both ways to see were you are at. Thats what i did at our Les Schwab dealer.

Offset and backspacing are tied together. 4.5" of backspacing on a 8.5" wide rim automatically produces +10mm offset. To get -10 mm offset the the same rim would have ~3.75" backspacing.

IWow, it looks like everyone agrees.

I curreently run a +10 offset wheel and 33s. Before I lifted it, the only rubbing I had was the rear on the front-bottom of the fender flare at full stuff off camber. With a 2.5 lift and bumpstops I have no rubbing.

When I was at stock height, I didn't have the air damn, so I didn't see how it interfears like Calypso did.

4.5" will give you plenty. You can probably get away with 4". I put on 35x12.50s just prior to my lift and had very little rubbing with 4.25" back spacing.
