Default Nitto trail grapplers or toyo open country mt

I'm looking to buy some new tires and was wanting some input. I use my jeep and a daily driver and I drive about 1200 miles a month we don't do any hardcore four wheeling but I go out about every two weeks mostly loose rock mud and creek rocks I'm looking at 35 12.50 17

Two of the best tires out their. Ive run both, the nittos in 35s and toyos in 37s. Toyo are cheap now compared to nitto, I got my 37s for 330 plus tax. Nittos were 400. Im willing to bet the 35 toyos are cheaper than the toyos as well.

I really like my Nitto Trail Grappler. I bought them on a whim and couldn't be happier. I was a big Dick Cepek Fun Country fan after having 3 sets of them and I think I will stick with the Nitto's in the future.

i am currently running both and can tell you that for your purposes, i might go with the toyos. the nittos actually hook up better on the rocks but have a softer rubber compound that seems to be wearing out faster than what i have seen with toyos. both are great tires though and really, you can't go wrong with either.

oh, tread life on my toyos have been about 45,000. at the rate i'm wearing down my nittos, i think i might be able to get close to that.

Can't go wrong with either. Bought mine from my local America's Tire (Discount Tire), went with Nittos in 35x12.50R17 because they were cheaper than the Toyos. The ride is pretty rough with a budget boost, hoping a 2.5" or 3.5" coil lift will change that.

Just bought a set of 35"x12.50x17" Toyo MT's today. I haven't gotten many miles on them yet but I'll say a few things.

A) smooth as hell. I can't tell the difference from the stock rubi BFGs.
B) Noise is about the same as the stockers
C) All 5 took about 3oz of weight to balance each. For a tire this size that says something.

I have the Toyo Open Country MTs (35x12.50 - 18). I found them on tread depot dot com for a killer deal. I went to my local Discount Tire and they price matched as well as included installation. They were $294 each and I also received a $40 instant rebate.
