Default Nitto terra grappler weight specs

I'm looking at getting 285/75r17 tires, which are a difficult size to find, but they'll work best for me. I was staying away from nitto because I always read that they were heavy, but after finally looking them up they only weigh 56 pounds, which is less than a lot of 33/34 inch tires out there. Anyone have these particular tires? Thanks!

I ran a set of these in a 295/70/17. Great tires, very long tread life, all around awesome performers

Don't worry about the weight. They're worth it. I ran 315/75R16 Terra's for over 40k and was still able to sell 4 for over $350. They took me everywhere i wanted to go.

Don't want to hi-jack but I want these tires in 295/70/18. How true to size once installed? Their specs say 34.41" but that's not installed.

Im running nitto terra grappler 285/75/17 on rugged ridge wheels and the combo weighs about 75 pounds. They are amazing off road. The weight is so not a factor when you look at the whole picture. I would buy another set and not think twice!

I am running 285/70/17 and after installed on 13 jku stand 31.5. Not what I was hoping for when the specs said 32.8. But still a nice tire.

Thanks for the replies. I'm still trying to figure out why people say they are heavy because they seem like an average weight when comparing brands. Maybe I'm missing something. Anyhow, it looks like I'm going to roll with these.
