I have my Nitto Terra Grapplers size 285/70/17 on my 2-door JK. I have the front at 45 psi and the rear at 50 psi. This is on the road of course, not when i wheel . Does anyone know what they are supposed to be at for the road? I am trying to maximize my MPG, so... anything helps!

 

dear lord that is a lot of air. honestly, you really shouldn't be running much more than about 30-35 psi at most. if you run more, you might get better mpg but, you'll also wear out your tires prematurely and make your ride feel like you're on bowling balls.

 

I had the 285/70/17 Terra Grapplers and they seemed best at 33 PSI on road, and 18 PSI offroad. They were originally set at 38 PSI at install, but were just way too rough that high....I couldnt imagine the beating your kidneys are taking at 50 PSI.

 

Thanks guys! No wonder i feel like im bouncing around on the road like a bouncy ball! Looks like im going outside right now to let some air out .
