Default Nitto mud grappler

Having a hard time finding stuff on the mud grappler. I'm am set on getting them I'm just not sure on size and I'm going to order them today. I am running 38x14.5 so I'm thinking should I bump up to a 40 or go down to a 37. Also I have 5.38 gears.

What do you want to know about them?

I've been running 35's for the last three months. Providing that you are OK with the road noise, they really are an incredible tire.

40's aren't just put on and go, they require alot of work. And yes the road noise is very loud.

Well I mean if he's already running 38's... What's two inches?

A lot... said by every woman to ever live.

Seriously, that two inches is additional weight, mass to roll. I imagine the comment is directed towards whether or not axle upgrades have been completed outside of the 5.13 gearing.

40's will snap stock shafts if you hit a pothole to hard, you need chromoly's. Then you'll need adj CA's, ball joint upgrades, gussets, tube sleeves, DS. And a sawzaw, plus 4" of lift is cutting it close, your limiting uptravel. 2" is a huge difference. Like I said 40's aren't plug and play.

I just worried about the jeep beeping able to pull such a heavy tire on the hwy. I have all the upgrades you can do for a the stock housing.

If he has other mods to account for any of this, it is not listed in his build.
My jeep is on a 4in lift plus 2in spacer and it's fender have been cut a lot, the 38 clear by an inch or more so clearance I'm not worried
