Nitro axle sleeve problem?
I just finished building my install tool to drive the sleeves in. Thought I would test the sleeves to see just how tight they were. Took them out of the freezer (48 hours) and they went right in all except 1/4" to 1/2". Used just the seal driver and it's handle to drive them the rest of the way. Now I'm scared cause they went in so easy. I did use 120 grit sand paper in the tubes to remove the rust, but I don' think I got too aggressive. Has anyone else put these in so easy?

Just be thankful they went in easy. Some people have had a bitch getting them to go in (guess who). They should be fine the way they are. When they heat up they will expand and they should not move at all. You could always weld the ends if necessary.

s stated they should heat up and get tight. Also you can weld the ends and drill 1/2" holes in axle tube only when it reaches the sleeve stop rben plug weld it in.
I ran nitro love em the last 3 sets I e done are synergy and I drill and weld 90 degrees of each hole 4" apart then weld the end......
So give it a little to warm up a d the last bit if I remember correct should be the tight spot on those.

I know I'm a little late on this response but all those who told you that it will tighten up are correct. You'd be amazed how much shrinking the tube does in the freezer and how much it will expand in the axle tube. Believe me, it'll be very tight. I've done over 13 installs with the Nitro.
