Default Nice looking Hood Latch, Any Good?

I have a 2013 2D and do alot of highway driving. I was shocked to see how much hood flutter there is!! I was thinking about the Rampage Locking catches. They are powder coated stainless steel with a built in lock for about $90.00. Has anyone put them on? What do you think?

Thanks!!

FWIW, I knocked out my hood flutter by wrapping black velcro strap around the rubber insert in the existing latch. I wrapped it snug while the hood was latched, no more flutter and I can still open the hood with no problem.

I went with the drakes. They bolted right on, are top notch quality, and I think besides great function, they are a serious aesthetic improvement.

Velcro here also. Its almost free, and you don't even notice it.

For a quick fix you can also remove the hood spring. Took mine off and no flutter since. I'm debating between the Rampage and the new Rugged Ridge, price is same.

I just readjusted the hood bolts and got the hood properly aligned and BOOM! no more flutter. I think they just don't check it very well at the plant...

ID:	513054I love the Rampage locking hood latches, hold the hood very tight and add security.
