I do have a question though, i would really like to run the stock wheels, i kinda like the silver/black look, and i already have them

Would running these wheels on spacers be ok?? I keep hearing mixed reviews, the only downside is 300+ for 18" 35's

 

Downsides to your 18's: Added cost for tires. Expensive wheel spacers. Inherent weak spot in drive train(spacers can break). Less sidewall(good for the street, bad for the wheeling).

Upside: You like them. You already have them.

 

That and the fact that you'll more than likely fail inspection! In our lousy state the tires can't stick out past the fenders and the bumpers have to come to the edges of the tires! Keep your stock stuff for inspection time! Yeah, it's a pain in the nutz to switch it all over and back again, but it's worth it to pass the first time. You can get Cragar Soft 8's in silver or chrome as well as the black for about the same money!

The Cragar Soft 8's or even the Procomp 97's will take the TPMS correct??

 

Found out the TPMS are compatable, or at least people are running them. I ordered them just now for a buy 3 get one free w/ free shipping.

So that's 5 rims down, now to try and find the $$$ for 5 tires... heh

 

The TPMS sensor attaches to the back of the valve stem. They should be able to work with just about any tire. I'm sure there are some that they won't work with. I think you can also get after market ones that clamp onto the rim inside of the tire. I hope that makes sense.

 

NICE!!!! Which ones did you get? The silver Soft 8's or the procomps?

 

Get the larger tires and hold off on the winch.

Think of it this way. would you rather drive up a fun tricky rock section or get out hook up a winch and pull your puny wheels over the obstacle with the winch?

Besides if you buy a winch you will spend more time pulling other people out than you will pulling yourself out. Use a combination of good smooth driving and a high lift jack and shovel and you can get out 99% of the time.

 

yeah... what he said. I've used my winch a couple dozen times. twice on myself. lol. I guess I'm not the only one then.
