Some shocks you have to twist the piston for it to release. Almost like twisting a cap. May or may not work. If that doesn't work I would call rc to see if that's normal.

RC said that the shocks were normal. The greater the force applied to the shocks, the more resistance they deal back.

Shocks only dampen the actions of the spring. Yours are perfectly normal. No worries, install away!
