Newb Needs Help w/ Lift
I have an '08 Sahara and am new to the modifications. I want to add 2.5" - 3" of lift and most likely 35" tires but do not want to spend a fortune. I was thinking of a 2.5" Teraflex budget boost and buying some decent shocks separately.
As for wheels, I'm undecided. Can I stick with the stock 17" wheels for now, or should I opt for something different?
Are there additional parts I will need on top of what comes in the kit?
Any and all help is appreciated.

Teleflex 2.5" to 3" lift works good for 35". I might go with Rancho 4" Sport with 9000 shocks cause of the $500 rebate. Also, I don't like the cam-adjust to fix alignment bug-a-boo. The Rancho has brackets and pitman that maintain factory geometry so you don't need those cams.
There are extensive write-ups here on both the Teleflex and Rancho. Be sure to read the installation manuals (on line) before buying to be sure you will be comfortable doing installation yourself.

Sounds like this is the kit you need. You will love the shocks! Shoot Gus a call! Link in signature

I have a FT 3" kit with control arms. It rocks!
If you want to keep your stock wheels, you'll need spacers, like 1.5" Spidertrax, to get proper backspacing when you lift your JK. You can see them in my attached pics, but only with the wheel off.
