Default Newb looking for some cat-back advice.

Hi there everyone. I just brought my 2013 JK Unlimited how today, and I'm thinking about adding a Borla cat back system. Any opinions on the single versus dual exit versions? Also, it's my wife's daily driver, so I want to make she won't sound like a Harley going down the road. What's the sound like? I'm going for "throaty", but not "wake the neighbors". Thanks for any tips and suggestions!

i have a borla system on my dodge truck and i thinks it sounds right , not loud but throaty , but that a v8 ..... nothing iv heard on a 3.6 will sound anything like the sound you get from an 8 cyl. i wanted the sound you are looking for , for my 2012 wrangler and went with the corsa (db) dual outlet . its perfectly ok. but i can say , some of the " louder " muffs sound just awfull to me . i considered the borla too . its really good stuff for sure . i think its probably what you are looking for , its more on the quiet side . but try to listen to a few first , you might be underwhelmed for the amount of duckys you'll be spending ( on any system )

I have a gibson dual exit on my '11. The install was stupid easy, I went from stock exhaust to driving in less than an hour. The price was bad either. As far as the noise, idle and low rpms sounds very "throaty" does start to sound a little like a rice burner around 4500 rpms. I would look into this kit, I have no complaints.

I would save your money for other things and just pick a muffler you like and get it welded on. My 2 cents. Can't really comment on suggestions for quiet and throaty. Mine is loud and throaty/ roary lol.

x2 If I had to do it again thats what I would have done. My local muffler shop sells generic flowmasters for around $50. Depending on labor rates and your tip youll be close to $100. Thats alot less exensive than $527 for a Gibson stainless.

Get a tailpipe like this bent for $20 at a muffler shop. I cut in a Magnaflow under the back seat area, total cost under $150. Been like this since April 2007, no issues, has never caught anything. Don't waste money on cat backs and CAI's.
( not sure why my pics upside down)
