I have been looking at the trektop but have been told it's not a good choice, I saw there is a new one out. On the Bestop web site it says it's a new and revised top. Does anyone know anything about it. I need a new top on my 4door and really like the fast back look.
Thanks

I like mine. I also didn't have a factory soft top as I bought my rig used with only the hard top available.
I just looked at the website. Removable windows and different surrounds look like a plus. It looks like it offers more versatility, maybe an option to run it like a safari top.
Has the price changed/increased?

the newest version looks great and fits really nice now. the only thing that's kind of a bummer is the way the rear window attaches to the tailgate. the old style had a velco setup and, while it wasn't the best solution, it was easy to use. the new style has a fixed bar that works well to stay on but is hard to open and close. still, i would get one again just for how cool it does look and how small you can pack it down when it's not needed.

I see the top on sale at quadratrac for 575 or so but I think this is the previous top. I'm going to call and find out how much the new top is.

Well on my TJ best top they upgraded the frame for free, because of the inferior design of the plastic mounting brackets. Its also possible you may be able to get the newer pieces under their warranty the same way on the trek top...Im really considering this as well for the summer how easily does it go on and off?

The new design is Trektop NX. Features include door surrounds, removable side windows, rear is also removable, tailgate bar and a sunrider features. So you really get a sealed top, sunrider and a safari top. They have also added a aluminum top arch to help prevent puddling. We just had training on it yesterday. ETA is late summer 2011.
