Default New tires! Which one...

I'm not getting new tires until Summer, but I thought I should plan on which one since there's so many good ones out there!

I did a search and found nothing, so my question is that I drive my Jeep on the road daily and I'd like a tire thats comfy on the road, but aggressive off-road. At this time, I'm staying away from the M/T's because they can tend to wear down fast and give shitty MPG since I do travel around a lot.

The size is 35x12.50 on stock 17s. I found Dick Cepaks or General Grabber, but haven't find great reviews on them. I really do want the BFG KM2s. For those that do have them, how are they with tread life and MPG?

I like my KM2s a lot, very quite. An aggressive pattern without being over the top. I have 8K on my set with no noticeable wear. The tread is great for every thing except deep snow, as in off-road depths. I drove on snow and ice on-road with good performance. At this point if I had to buy new tires I'd get another set of KM2s.

Had km2's a year an love em. No noticeable loss in mpg due to the tires. I commute to school during the week an just make sure I rotate every oil change, wear is even. Ride is better with these on road than the stock ones an once you take them off road you'll be very happy you got em.

You could always get 315/70R17 Duratracs. They are excellent year round.

And you might need some more lift for the 35s. And gearing is 3.21 so it might be a little tricky to take off road with the 35s. It's do-able though.

I like my 33s and I am glad I went that route.

i had 35 km2's on a 17x 9.5 wheel and they are great but ran small. mine were just a hair over 33 mounted. i moved up to a 37 pitbull rocker and i can't stand the ride of them. so i am ordering 38 km2's today (should be same size as my pitbull's). i think for a daily driver and offroad tire they cannot be beat. i only have 3000 miles or less on the pitbulls and i am already spending the money to go back to km2's. there are lots of other good choices as well but km2 is my personal pick for the application. quiet, great on rocks and mud, and ride very nice. the biger the tire the worse the gas milage will be. km2's do weigh much less though. my pitbulls weigh in at 94 lbs each tire and the new km2's will be at 81 lbs per tire. that will help with the gas milage but it will be worse. tread life seamed great out of the 35's about 13k on them and they were not very worn. they are a 40 k tire if you rotate them.

Thanks for the input guys! I've read alot about the km2's but wasn't sure if they would be adequate enough for on road daily driving, but now I know.

Icyfridge - before I get the tires, I'm gonna get the teraflex 2.5 lift then tires, depending on the tax refund

I think for your situation the goodyear duratracs would be great. They are a very aggressive a/t and have good road performance as well
