Default New tires...any comments?

Just got a set of 35x12.5x18 Federal Couragia M/T meats installed. So far so good. Played with them some in the mud last weekend. Anyone else use these tires?

Never heard of them, but they look aggressive. I assume that they were less expensive than more traditional options.

How do they drive on the street (road noise, etc)? Get them out on the trail and report your experiences back to the forum.

Yup Had 35" Fed's on my Z-71 and Chevy 2500 plow truck. That was years ago. Those frikkin' tires lasted for ever. My Z got a good 65K out of em and at the time I drove that thing like an ass every time the key was in the "run" position LOL. Then again the classic case of bulletproof teenager blah blah lasted deep into the 20's LOL. I want to say that the plow truck's 265/75's were load range "E"'s however both were Much harder compound than BFG's I think.

Good to know. I'm looking to buy 5 tires 315/75R16 soon. I'm gonna check from where I can get them since I'm in Montréal... maybe instead of some Toyo open country MT.

Well the little bit of playing with them was fun. They certainly sling mud. I am glad I had my sister's presure washer to blast the beast. The next trail test will probably be on a drilling trail in East Texas this weekend. I'll post up pics and a quick review once it is all said and done.
As for road noise they aren't all that bad. I drive it to and from work at an average of about 50 mph and it isn't just deafening. The ride is a bit different as should be expected.
They look great...next mod...stubby front and rear bumpers. Gonna try and cook up a swing-away rear spare tire carrier for factory rear bumpers too.

I looked at the Toyo's and liked them. The price wasn't all that much different. I got the Federals from a place recommended by a friend at work. This guy beat just about everyone else in town. The shoulder lugs on these tires are even tough. Once I get 'em in a good Louisiana or Texas mud hole we will know if they have the balls they look like they have or not.
