Default New springs

Does anyone know if metal cloak springs take into account the weight of bumpers/winch/37” spare and sliders? I would hate to have the soft portion of the spring eaten up by the extra weight.

Yes, MC springs are rated for a fully armored Jeep. You may need a spacer to level it out just depending on weight distribution. I have a heavy Jeep with 3.5" MC Gamechanger and it is right at 3.5" and sits pretty level. I also have American Adventure Labs MASS platform in the cargo area with 2 6" drawers and an ARB 50 fridge on a fridge slide as far as rear weight goes. Right now the way it is pictured it is about 6100 pounds.

And the dual rate only comes into play when wheeling and extending the spring when the suspension droops. Otherwise when on normal road conditions, the upper coils are completely compressed.

Nope. My MC springs were easy to install so long as you drop the axles far enough by undoing the components stopping the diff from lowering enough. BTW - are you talking a lift or replacing with stock height? I don't think MC have stock height springs so if you lift be mindful of the items that reach from chassis/body to the diff housings and brakes that will require being extended.

Replacing the dealer added lift that I added spacers too.(so close to 3.5” lift now) but saggy. The new springs will go with my MC game changer arms that I installed a couple years ago.

You just have to really droop the axel. When I went from 2.5" to 3.5" I still had to disconnect the lower shock mounts from the axel, I *think* I remember disconnecting the track bar axel side and then was able to droop the axel low enough. I had to the same thing for the rear as well. When you do droop the axel, be sure to keep an eye on your brake lines and abs wires so that you don't accidentally stretch or damage them. It's also a good opportunity to do some cleaning and painting of spring perches and stuff while you have the springs out if you find that is something necessary. Although from the palm tree in the background of the pic you posted above, I don't think rust is a big concern of yours.......

I’ll bet, brake lines and wheel sensors have to disconnect too, I remember when I added the spacers, I had fun trying to drop enough to get the springs out.
as for mud or rust, pretty much not a factor in Lake Havasu, we get 2” of rain, happens end of summer in a 10 minute period.

my jk is a 15.
