Default New spare tire carrier

whatsup guys im lookin to get a new bracket to fit my 37" spare. i dont wanna get the regular relocate bracket because i heard it put too much weight on the tailgate. im not lookin to get a new rear bumper yet either. i remember seeing a spare tire bracket that mounts to the hinges on the tailgate. that caught my eye but i cant remember the brand or where i saw it. can anyone help me out? thanks

Just go for the OR Fab Tire carrier. Attaches to the tailgate hinges, which means no need for an extra bumper. That is if you don't want one.

The others may have a little reinforcement, but it is still a ton of weight on those two hinges. The OR Fab is expensive, and isn't all that easy to install, but it shifts the weight off the hinges. It's the next best thing to a new bumper/carrier.

Here's a thread where I posted A TON of info about the OR-Fab carrier. Got one on order, it's such a good way to go.

Has anybody tried the evo rear bumper. Curious to know how well the tire integration works

thanks everybody for you help. while i was lookin for the OR Fab tire carrier i came across the Hanson tire carrier. its a little cheaper but not much. but ive heard its easier to install and spreads the weight out better than the OR Fab. im prob gonna go with the Hanson

The Hanson look as though the weight is on the tailgate, which couldn't be good with such a large tire. With the OR Fab the weight is off the tailgate, or so I understand as I don't own one yet.

I just recieved my LoD rear bumper and tirecarrier yesterday and it is very well made. I have seen the evo rear bumper in person and that bumper is very nice as well.
