That's strange to hear, because my MBRP cat back is very subtle, almost quiet, and can't really hear it on the freeway going 70mph.....you can actually hear my intake growl more often, mostly while accelerating at an incline.

Do you have a cold air intake....maybe the combo produces a more subtle note. I also never experience any spits/pops on deceleration.

I hope you're able to work with it to make it more suitable for your needs.

No CAI. I wonder if there's something different about my exhaust. Seriously it's like there's no muffler.

I agree with the recommendation of installing a glass pack in front of it. Be sure to get one 30" or longer. My shop first install an small 18" glass pack - did not do anything. Switched it out for a 30" and it was perfect!

Good luck
I will check this out. Thanks.

This is weird.... Some are saying the MBRP is loud and some are saying it's quiet. I wonder if they're all made differently.

I'm going to send a note to the MBRP rep on this board and get his comments.

Try running a Resonator in line w/ the exhaust. Mbrp makes one as well as Flowmaster. I run the Flowmaster w/mine It's a hushpower. Seems to take care of the Issue.

My MBRP cat-back seemed somewhat loud(er) when I first installed it, but I grew acclimated to it in a short time and now I wouldn't trade it for another exhaust.

I wouldn't fit additional mufflers. That strikes me as counter-intuitive. I'd just go back to stock exhaust.

My suggestions? Give it 10 days, maybe two weeks. Reassess how you feel about it.

I agree. I should have mentioned that I'm running long tube headers and without the resonator mine sounds like a 2 stroke Banshee.....

I hate to say this, but our minivan engines are NEVER going to sound like V8. I don't care what type of a muffler you buy.
