With 33s you don't need a lift. Just put a spacer up front to get rid of the rake.
With XRC fenders you can run 35s with a simple leveling kit

So 33/10/18 or 33/10/20 with 3 inch lift better choice smaller rim or doesn't matter on ride feeling

I wouldn't get 20s but that's just me.
Why are you getting a 3" lift just for 33s? Your tires will look really small IMO. I promise if you get more than a leveling kit with 33s you will regret it

I totally agree with mds22.

I had a 2.5" with my 33's. I barely pulled it off because I had OEM flares. With flats it would have looked ridiculous.

I also wouldn't go with 20's. I went to a 17" so I could fit a big brake kit. I'll flat out say that in most 4x4 (not just Jeep) circles I have traveled over the years, anyone with 20" wheels is not taken seriously and typically ridiculed. There are very good mechanical reasons on the trail for that opinion too. (Not to mention the tires are way more expensive.)

Understand the Jeep is yours and a reflection of yourself. Do what you want. If you are happy that's all that matters.

You could run a small kit like one of our 1.5" kits and it would look very proportional with a 33" tire. Like others have said a taller life then that will make the tires look a little small. You don't need much more to clear a 33 and if you ever wanted to step up to a 35 you could add a set of flat fenders!

I'm doing a 2.5 lift with 33's, i have a couple of friends with similar setups, and i really like the stance with the 33's and 17" wheels, plus i don't need to re-gear, i just bought my 2013 2 weeks ago, and pretty much did the tires and wheels next day, hope to have my suspension done next Monday, if not it'll have to wait 2 more weeks. i drive 130 miles a day, so i'm doing 33's tops for now

You could always try a search there are 10,000 threads asking this same question. Or if you don't want to search try reading the stickie at the top of the page.

I currently have 2.5 with 33s. Bought the jeep that way. It looks stupid as hell. Especially with my flat fenders. I wouldn't lift it for 33s unless you plan on going larger in the future. Do it right so you don't do it twice. 3inches for 33s is absurd. No need.
Also if you've got a free moment read the sticky above, planmans thread on lifts. Really informative for the question you're asking. Happy jeeping my friend.
