Sorry for such a lame question, but I'm brand new to off roading and seeking some answers.

I'm trying to figure out the difference between a suspension and a body lift. I know one is more expensive than the other and the body lift simply looks like spacers put above the shocks.

Can you have both installed on your Jeep?

Sorry, I feel like such a dork asking this in a Jeep forum, but I'm really curious.

 

The body lift is spacers between the frame and body. Suspension lift is either spacers above the current springs or new taller springs, and sometimes both. And yes you can have both but most just go with a suspension lift to increase performance off road with more suspension travel and larger tires.

you can also get a budget boost, which is still cheap, and simply puts spacers in so you can fit bigger tires...the biggest one i have seen is teraflexs 2.5" BB
