Two different vehicles really. If you are looking for or need a tow vehicle a Jeep is not it. If you need to haul a load of something the Jeep is probably not for you. If you want something that handles better than a truck and can go places that your truck probably can't and is a blast to drive than a Jeep is it. I have both so I can switch them out but i sure like driving the Jeep over the F250.

I had an '01 F150 Supercrew and traded for my 07 jkur. I miss my truck most of the time but the jeep is alot nicer on the beach and trails (nowhere near as long) and the family loves it but I really do miss having a bed. I'm trying to find a nice trailer at the moment. Good luck with whatever you decide. Oh and there is a huge market for the jeep so it will hold its value better and unlimited (pun intended) modifications you can make.

A JK is certainly not a hauler, If you want to have some fun now thats a different story. I use my jeep to get to work not to work. On the weekends it provides great times with friends and family. On the other hand it does not haul lumber home from Lowes......

Thanks for the response. I don't really haul anything and only tow my aluminum boat to the lake. I've got a 98 gmc z71 that just keep around the house to "piddle" in I'm just afraid i'll miss the room.

I just traded my 2001 1500 Chevy Silverado standard cab short box 2 wheel drive for my 2011 Sport 2 dr. Miss the hauling space but that is it. I get the same gas mileage as my Chevy did which was a v6 with automatic. To be honest wish I would have gotten a Jeep several vehicles ago do not regret the change at all. Love it. Now if you want more room definitely look at a 4dr. They can tow @ 3500 lbs. 2 drs are @ 2500 lbs.
