Did you use a Procal or Superchip to reset the tire size? If not and you're calculating your mileage by the odometer then it's off (you are actually going more miles than what it's reading). They will also help shift points, etc.

Im only getting 14mpg currently and the light bar did create some drag but it conviently folds down so its out of the way for normal driving. i thought of doing an intake but id also have to put in a whole new exhaust which is pricey so im trying to hold out on doing that.

14 mpg is pretty standard for a JK with a few mods.

My bone stock '11 JK gets 15 mpg in town and 20 hwy. There is almost no way to improve on that.

A 4000 lbs shoe box going down the road........

Help on this subject will be really appreciated.
I have a 2010 2 door sport jk and just got 33" MTZ's on stock 16" steel with 1.5" spidertrax. (285/75/r16)
My gears are the 3.21's and I had 245/75/r16's (29"? not sure) tires before the 33" MTZ's
I really liked the kind of performance / power I was getting stock.. what type of gears should I get to achieve the same performance with the new 33's?
maybe 3.73's? or 4.10's ?

You can try 4.10. But seriously, I wouldn't bother.

If you're 100% certain you won't get bigger wheels in the future, and this is a DD vehicle, you'll be golden with 3.73.

If you do more trail than highway or tow lots, or might get 35s in the future, go lower. I have 35s with 3.73s and it's sluggish. For me 4.10 would be passable; 4.56 would be ideal.

Because most 6-speed JK's come factory with 32's and 3.21. Somehow they run fine. You could upshift a bit later, for some more power. Similar, to what lower gears would do - run at a bit higher rpm.

Base is 29's with 3.21. Most Rubi's that actually come with 32's have 4.10.
