I'm going for plastic and it has to have a built in yellow side light, not some jury rigged led...

so far bushwackers seem like a good choice.

I just installed the Bushwackers on my dad's jeep and they look good. Pretty simple install and good quality.

I too like the fact that the Bushwacker flares look more finished with the side marker lights vs. cut fenders.

I've wacked my Bushwacker flares a few times and they seem to be generally holding up ok, but I was a little surprised they would dent and not just flex back into shape. Maybe it's just the way I managed to hit it on a tree, and it might have dented a metal flare also, although it wasn't hit very hard. Doesn't bother me too much, just goes with some of the pinstriping on my doors and windows. I just can't seem to make it thru some of the tight areas quite as easily as some of my buddies in their TJ's and JKs.

Bushwackers can be found for about $425 on Amazon.

This is another option that you might consider. PureJeep fronts and rears. I love 'em!

Apparently they are making flatty flares for the JK - I was hoping they'd be less expensive - but they appear to be priced similarly to the Bushwackers. It would appear I have yet another difficult decision to make: Bushwackers or MCE
PS Crusher flares transfer the impact to the frame.

I just installed PS flares on mine about a month ago. They're pretty stout and look great. Only advise is to take your time.

Flares look great. But your jeep is the first one I've seen with a big ole rust spot on it. You take a rock to the pillar?

Good to know
- For me though, a set of 4, paint or powdercoat - they're simply out of my price range.
