Default New Carrier for 5.13's?

I tried to find a thread on here but I was unable too. Can anyone shed some light on the subject of re-gearing. I have an 08 JKU "X" with 3.73 gears. I want to upgrade to 5.13's. Will I need a new carrier for the lower gears? Thanks for any input.

A D30 with 3.21's is the only one that needs a new carrier.

You won't need a new carrier for your D30 if you currently have 3.73 gears.

The Dana 44 in the rear does not need a new carrier either?

That's something I want to know, too. The shop that I am about to Regear my JK told me that there is a chance that I will need a new rear d44 carrier if the ring of the g2 gears that they use doesn't fit my current one. They told me that they can't know unless they open my dif. Maybe someone who knows better can chime in and explain us.

If you're starting with 3.73 or numerically higher, you don't need a new carrier. The split is between 3.73 and 3.21

I was told by David at northridge that if you order the thick gear you don't have to change the carrier for the 3.54 and numericaly lower
