Just a note on the AEV High steer kit. Once its installed you wont have the clearance to run the factory 16 inch steel wheels. Once the tie rod is flipped to the top of the knuckle it hits the rim and any tire weights you have on the inside. Its close enough that a quarter inch spacer just might give it the room it needs. I havent had any luck with finding any spacers locally that I like, theyre all universal fit and dont have any way to center on the hub. Some 16x8 with 4.5bs should fix my problem, but the wifes going to shoot me if I go buy wheels ontop of the lift. Ive been running 255/85r16s on my stock steelies with no problem and didnt have any intention to change them.
Probably not an issue most guys would run into, not too many people running the stock 16s. But no mention anywhere on AEVs website about clearance issues with 16s. Still probably wont see the correction brackets from Northridge for another 2 weeks also. Havin a great time with this hahaha.

16"?? Do the new JKs have 16" rims? I had no problems with rims rubbing flipped links on a 2011 with stock 17s, aev high steer kit and no spacers. Grated, I ran this was for less than 2 weeks but nothing rubbed

Where did you get your tires mounted?
I have a 2013 Rubicon that I am about to lift, and I want to keep the stock wheels because... I love them!
Who mounted/balanced your 35's on your stock wheels? I'm asking because I'd rather go to someone who will mount oversized tires (for the wheels) the first time w/o getting flack about safety/liability/etc/etc.
Yes, I am in the valley.

Picked up a set of 16x8 ion alloys on sale yesterday. I never planned on changing wheels and I think my 255/85s suited my stock steelies better, but they sit ok on the 8" wide rims, and dont look too bad. Still waiting for my correction brackets but at least Im back on the road now. Heres a quick pic outside the tire shop.

All installed. I did it myself but when I went to torque the nut on the transfer case I felt like it wasn't right so I took to the local driveshaft shop where I found it wasn't right. I torqued per specs but still wasn't all the way on. Since I picked it up everything has been good
