I'm getting ready to swap out the old brake lines on my JK. The OEM's lasted 14 years and 172k miles, so not bad.
I've got an AEV 2.5" lift, but with the brake line extensions, the stock lines have enough length, so just going OEM would work. But I'm looking at a couple other options, including Powerstop front/rear kit with stainless braided lines. It's about $100. So compared to the price of Autozone or AA stock replacements, they look like a good bargain.
Anyone with any experience with the Powerstops or others? Rough Country? Teraflex? I'm wanting an economical option but if I can upgrade for durability, that'd be great. I plan on doing it again in about 200k miles, LOL.

I had Crown ss lines before and then switched to Metalcloak's. I really like the MC's compared to what I previously had.

For what it's worth, there wasn't anything wrong with my previous Crown lines. The plastic coating did get brittle and start breaking off relatively quickly but that doesn't affect performance. The biggest difference between those lines and the MC lines is the Crown's were a lot more rigid, or non-flexible....idk how to explain what I'm trying to. They only wanted to bend one direction once installed which was frustrating. The MC lines seem a bit more pliable in that regard.
I'd imagine Jay's lines came with the AEV kit. I purchased mine separately and there was a lot of confusion depending on how you were going to route them. Some routed along the spring perch and it was really hard to determine that length. The ones I bought just went directly from the caliper to the hardline. Also, there is Crown Automotive and Crown Performance, both of which I believe have a SS line which adds more confusion.
