Default New AEV CA brackets

Just got an e-mail from AEV showing some new control arm brackets. No more cam bolts, and still maintains the stock arms. I can't wait to get some.

I just saw this too. Looks like an inovative approach to solving the cam bolt issue. This bracket is now included in thier lift kits. At $99 it is cheaper than front control arms for sure.

nice to see that they are finally willing to admit they were wrong about cam bolts being a good solution for caster correction and now are copying what rancho had been using on their sport kit for about 3 years now

I can say that I will now need to call David at Northridge in the next few days and place yet another order with him. Every time I think I may be able to save some money for a few weeks another mod opportunity arrises.

oh look, here are what the original drop brackets looked like before they got copied years later and treated like something new and innovative....

I guess I wasn't looking it as being invovative, but rather a better option than the cam bolts and it is designed for their specific lift, which would give better performance on their lift. Yes other companies have had the drop brakets for years, but like any other suspension company they build it for the amount of lift provided by their suspension.

honestly?? designed for their specific lift??? these are drop brackets we're talking about as in, they lower the mounting points of your control arms and not some kind of flux capacitor. also, i would argue that drop brackets like this ARE innovative and until they got copied, rancho was the ONLY company to be making them. tell you what, how about you find out just how much of a drop these revolutionary new brackets provide and i'd be willing to bet they are exactly the same amount as rancho.

Is this solution really just as good as adjustable control arms?

WOL, by your comments, I assume this means that you could possibly use these with any lift?

I dont understand why AEV, with the stuff they have created, are doing these brackets. I think they really have dropped the ball with their lift. There is not much R and D in adjustable control arms. First cam bolts and now relocation brackets, come on. If they would put their lift together with 4-8 control arms, it would be a much better lift in my opinion.
