New AEV 2.5" DualSport XT Suspension Lift Question
#81
I still cannot get the front LCA bolt out! Tried PB blaster, heating it and an impact driver.....
Anyone have any ideas? Next step is finding someone in Northern DE....
Curious : Is the jeep on the ground ? If it is ... lift front chassis to relieve the stress on the bolts.
Ughhhh so close....

I did take the Jeep out for a ride with the 2.5 kit on. Rides pretty good, noticed a little more sway in the steering, so I'm gonna re-check all the bolts. Seems to be a bit stiffer and rides good. Hit a pothole I usually hit and barely noticed hit.
Overall, this is a good kit.

Just order it from whoever has it in stock... AEV doesn't go on sale... so you may look for a great deal for 2 or 3 hours... then save $25 bucks... The equivalent of making 8 bucks an hour.. not worth it.

Well, got everything done, including the lower geometry correction brackets.
Before:
With stock 17" tires and the hard top.
Attachment 290628
After:
Duratrac 33's x12.5 and the soft top.

Looks great. Is it just the angle of the pic or did the AEV kit leave the factory rake in place?

I for the life of me CANNOT get the passanger front side shock nut tightened up. I broke some of the plastic trying to get it in....and it's still loose:

Not sure if you worked through this yet, but I am almost certain you have those metal washers on upside down. They should cup the rubber or poly bushings. That would allow easier access to the shock nuts.
