I'm going to call AEV and make sure I don't need them before I get the kit on. I will do very little rock crawling. I'm keeping it small on lift so I can have the bet on road ride possible. I will be running a PS front and rear bumper soon and that will be about all the armor I do.

Adjustable control arms fix the same issue but cost $100-150 more than the brackets which are designed for this specific lift.

The only downside of the brackets with this lift is they hang down slightly at the Jeep's frame end of the LCA in order to adjust caster (see pic). IMO this isn't a functional issue--cosmetic only and not a big deal to me (barely noticeable). Adjustable Lcas simply are longer thus no need to hang down to adjust the angle.

I am using the brackets with my RC 2.5 lift. I am happy with them. Mine also have several holes for different levels of lift. I am assuming that when I get a bigger lift later on I can leave the brackets and use a different holes to assist in my castor angle at that time.

dont mean to highjack this thread...but have a question:
Installed this lift and LOVE it! Getting a new bumper and winch...so...in order to compensate for the added weight, was looking at getting the TF leveling kit. With that being said:
1. Any issues with it being over 3.5" total lift? (heard brake lines needing to be replaced, etc, etc etc)
2. any issues with this AEV/TF combo? (new bumpstops needed or anything like that?)

THANKS for any input.

I have a heavier bumper and a winch and there isn't a need for a leveling kit. Here is the best side shot I have right now.

Been running this kit on my daily driver for about a year now and I've had no issues with the extra lift the kit provides.

I actually would recommend against the TF leveling kit. AEV designed this kit to hold a hemi, bumper, winch and full-size spare. You won't need to add anything. One added benefit you will have with the added weight is a softer ride quality!

Incase anyone is interested.... I went to have some C Gus's welded on and unless the shop was confused they couldn't weld on my Teraflex uppers as the brackets for the Sway Bars got in the way. I have since ordered the JKS Quick DIscos and got the gussets on. I'm not sure if this affects all C Gus's, but they couldn't weld my Teraflex ones on with the supplied brackets. Has anyone else had this issue?

quick heads up i found out the hard way...with the AEV kit, you need the discos for 0-2.5 lift. i got the set for the lift and they wouldnt fit. Maybe it was just me. but they had brackets so that the original swaybar connects were used. Anyone else have that?
