Finally ordered my lift. I've got a 2011 Black 2dr 6speed. I'll be putting it on myself in about a month! Can't wait!

Just finished the install!

I still need to install the Geometry Brackets.

I always run my jeep light. Never have the back seat in and no aftermarket bumpers or winches yet.

I gained a bit more than I was expecting. Hopefully I won't have any drive shaft issues. Now I just need some tires.

"I just install this kit last week on my 2012 unlimited Rubicon. With new drive shaft & geometry correction brackets, the install took 8 hours. I had read the directions a dozen times before starting which helped.

So how is it? The ride is incredible! I have 35x12.50-17Mickey Thompson MTZ."

So...do you need to change out the drive shaft on a 2012 JKU? I'm getting the money together to get this lift kit and geometry correction brackets. If I have enough left over, I plan on getting 33's too, not interested in 35's. It has been a little unclear from my search if you need to change the drive shaft with this set up. Any input would be appreciated.

You don't need drive shafts for 2 or 4 dr. Check out AEV's website for more info. They have a great Q/A section

Default European question

As AEV is one of the few road legal lifts in Germany I was also thinking of the 2.5" AEV.
If the 2.5" lifts so high, what about the 3.5" ??
It should rise the JK then for at least 4" ???

After 3 month of thinking which lift is the right one and where do I have enough money it is at least clear that I´ll stay with a 2.5" lift. And probably the AEV as I could only choose AEV or OME here.
Unfortunatly the prices in Germany are almost double than the US prices...... The 2.5" kit costs almost the same then the 3.5" kit. And that with less parts. No ProCal, jack base less brackets and so on.

So i´m not quite sure to really go with the 2.5" kit. Also because of the height question.....
--------------------------

Have you decided yet? I am in Russia and the lift offered from the local Jeep dealer is the Mopar 2" for about $3k installed. I am going to look into bringing a kit back with me and getting the install. The questions are - how many boxes? and how heavy are they? as it must come back as luggage allowance. Luckily, I will have up to 5 bags limit for it. KIDS ARE USEFUL!!
I will post if I am successful.
