New AEV 2.5" DualSport XT Suspension Lift Question
#181
Been meaning to post this. Got the kit, brackets, tires 285/70-17 (33x11.50) and spacers on last weekend. Very, very happy with it. Drove it on the stock tires to get the bfg's installed & it really was a better ride than stock. The brackets take care of castor, so it still drove nice. A little bit more firm without the dive & roll. Install was straight forward with no real surprises other than what has already been stated in this thread. I'm pretty sure it nets 3" of lift, I forgot to measure that day, but I have before, just can't remember 100% what my point of reference was.

The tires are Duratrac 285/70-17s....

The ride is fantastic, its the way it should have been from the factory. Using the center line of the wheel, bottom of fender front is 39" and back is 39 3/4". I'm planning to add a rear bumper so that should level things out.

This lift is awesome! Pictured is a 2012 sport with AEV 2.5" (including the drop brackets) and 32" MTs
Sorry I don't have any before comparison. Had the lift installed as soon as I could!

Got mine installed a few weeks ago. Rides awesome. Tighter and smoother than stock. Geometry correction brackests. No squeaks, rattles or pulling at all. Steering wheel only off by a fraction. Have Procal installed to correct speedo and shift points. 39-3/4" to bottom of front fender, 39-1/4" to bottom of rear fender. Running 32psi in Duratrac 315/70/17's.

Congrats. Continue taking your time and torquing everything properly with weight on the wheels. The front will take a bit longer and requires more 'thinking' to do it right the first time.
