New AEV 2.5" DualSport XT Suspension Lift Question
#91
On the Bilsteins they go as they are shown. There is a write up on it on the AEV site. It was confirmed with Bilstein that they should be cupped out to allow it to rock on the rubber bushings vs cutting into them.

Got the lift on Monday, should get it installed this weekend. Can't wait and will post pics of my 2-door Rubi with it. Haven't decided on tires yet so it will have factory 32's.

Does that lift require exhaust extensions?

It did not require any modifications at all. Mine is a 2011, not sure about the newer 2012's or the older model JK's

The pictures don't do it justice either, the lift, new wheels, and especially the Duratracs look so much better in person than on the pictures. I was extremely surprised after I saw the finished job on how well it looked. I was worried that going 285's and not the 315's would look too small, but they fit perfectly in my opinion. So far I have only registered about a 2 mpg decrease from going to this lift and tire size from stock. I have only driven a few hundred miles back and forth to work though. I do drive pretty conservativly though.
