New 2014 JKUR what's my first mod

Here's what I do to get mod's. Just go out on the trail and break it then you have to upgrade and fix it! I also vote for new girlfriend, your not even married and she is going to tell you how to spend your money.

I was thinking about a leveling kit and a Evo protech skid plate. I'll wheel it till it breaks then upgrade. My girl has helped me get the jeep in the first place. I commonly refer to her as the best girlfriend ever!!!
Side note much of the wheeling here in New england isn't hard and can be done in a stock rubi

You really dont "need" anything beyond what came stock. I did fine with my rubi for all my camping needs and off-road play. Though I do highly recommend a pair of good driving lights if you plan on being off-road at all at night. I drove out to get pizza while camping the first time out with the JK, it was raining coming back and I couldnt see anything on the trail. Been on the same trails now several times with the lights and wow what a difference. A pair of windshield mounts and LED cubes could be under $200. Other then that, you honestly dont "need" anything.
But when the money is spent, most bang for the buck in my opinion is tires. You can go an inch bigger in stock form. 2 inches with a budget boost and wheel spacers or different wheels.

TJ....umm....I think your opinion of NE trails will slightly change if you come to Field and Forest with us. Or the Summitt. Or OFR. Or Carnage, Or...the list goes on.....We have plenty of stuff that challenge even the best built buggy's out there.
Your first mod as you've already decided is to skid the places that are not protected. Then we can test her out on some light/moderate trails.
And please keep your GF. She has been great for you. And glad to have you back in a JK again!!! The only thing I would have changed on that build was your Smitty sliders. Those fold like pancakes on our rocky trails.
