Default Need new driveshafts?

I'm about to put in a 4.5" clayton lift and was wondering what would be the best driveshafts. Rough country, tom woods, J.E Reel?

We use Tom Woods a lot with zero issues.

All after market driveshafts are basically the same, built from spicer parts except for how they mount up. Some will use a flange that mates up with the factory set up at the transfer case and axle, while others will replace the yolks. This is the main reason for differences in prices from the manufactures. Don't just go off what brand and price, look at what you are actually getting. Most people on this forum are going to post up "I been running "xxx"brand it is works great which really tells you very little about the actual driveshaft.

Personally I would look for one that replaces the yolks with a 1310 joint that uses a U strap to hold in the u joint as you will be able to get parts relatively easy at most auto part stores. The U strap goes thru the yolk and uses a nut to mount. Should something come loose or brake you don't have to worry about removing bolts with broken heads or messed up threads out on the trails.

You will also fine most towns with a decent population will have driveline shops that can custom build and balance driveshafts as well as service them.

agreed with dirt here. I have ran a few different kinds and also prefer the yokes. In the future i will be running all tom woods though as he sponsors a few local racers here and has amazing service. Ive seen shafts break at the cv and so far I have seen him swap every single one without question. Hell he even offered to upgrade my buddies yj shaft to 1350 cv and keep the 1310 at the dif side when that 1310 cv broke. Almost all were shipped out and received within a week.

Good to know. I've got the 1310 Adams up front with sealed ujoints but may go to woods in the rear as I'm still running the stocker for now. In the rear I'm thinking 1350
