a 4" pro comp coil will settle to 2.5" in no time.

The danger of putting shorter springs with long travel shocks is there is a risk of the springs popping out of position.

Well, we had a last minute change of plans. We came home with a bone stock 2014 JK Sport S. Now I've got some work to do!
