I have a Cobra 75. I mounted the mic in the arm rest and the electronics for it behind the panel in the arm rest for the rear windows.

Mounted mine on the hardtop loop, very easy as you can tell doesn't rattle or come loose been mounted over a year now

Just built one that goes up top. I have to update the thread with the finished photos, but works great and still lets me use the hard top.
