Need hood mount for high lift
Does anyone know of an affordable hood mount for my high lift jack. I have found one for 85 dollars and don't know if it's worth that much. I may make my own but does any one have one they use that's not to expensive and works great

Get a small piece of 3in by 3in square tubing and cut off two one inch pieces. Drill two holes in the bottom for hood hinge bolts and one in the top to put a bolt through. Place washes on and set jack on bolts then tighten down a wing nut. Thats what I did cost $5.

Those jacks arent very light. In one of those pictures it looks as though the plastic may be twisting and if anything were to fall on the jack the plastic could break!!!
Maybe rectangular metal bars that you can paint and have a rubber seal to protect the metal from touching the hinges would be a good idea?
Same concept but less likely to break and probably still just as cheap. Cheaper than 60 dollars at least and MUCH cheaper than factory made $120 hood hinge mounts.

What plastic they are all metal and I have rubber grometts on top between the jack and metal. The reason it looks twisted is because I have to take it off and grind a little off the side of the brackets because I cut mine 1 1/4 inches wide so it doesn't seat in the grove on the hood hinge. That's why I advised 1 inch wide. I have had it up there for 6 months or so and been rock crawling prob 19 times and it has not moved a cm.
