Default Need Help TONIGHT!

I want to get this info as fast as I can bc RC has their wheel spacers for 40 bucks. I have aftermarket wheels on my Jeep Eagle alloy 137. THey have a 4.625" BS. If i add spacers will this cause any issues. I dont really understad how it could alter things but I want to make sure it will not hurt anything. I am about to add a RC 2.5" coil lift and I keep reading about Death Wobble and too much BS can cause it. I just want to make sure I dont spend money and have an issue

What kind of wheel spacer are they?

I ran 1.25" Spidertrax spacers for 33k with 0 problems.

I have run spidertrax 1.5 for six months without an issue. You should be fine.

If your backspacing is already 4.625" then why do you want 1.5" spacers. Yes, they will have no problems, but your backspacing will be 3.125" Your tires will stick out at least 2"+ from the fender flares; possibly 3"+ depending on the width of the tire.

I think you should ditch the wheel spacer idea. As long as your tires do not exceed 12.5" wide -- w/ the 2.5" lift you plan on purchasing -- you will be perfectly fine of any rubbing issues.

I say forget about the wheel spacers. Your wheel backspacing is fine.

If you add 1.5" of BS to you already 4.625. That puts you at 3.125" of BS. Thats alot IMO the further you go out the more stress you will put on your ball joints and Axel C's.

If your OK with some pre-mature wear the ball joints then that only leaves the Axel. Depending on size and weight of your tire package you should probably consider a set of EVO C gusset supports.

Haven't seen any feedback on RC's spacers, but great price. Too bad they don't have any 5on5 to 5on5.5 conversions.

The issue you will have is that your tires will stick about a mile out of the wheel wells. (figuratively, of course)

Stock BS = 6.25

Your wheels = 4.625
Spacer = 1.5
New BS = 3.125"

Where did you read that backspace causes DW? Do you mean caster, perhaps? Generally it is tire balance or a loose trackbar or components. The extra BS may add a bit more strain, but should not case DW.

Wingsfan, you were too quick hitting enter...

I've been running 1.5in spidertrax on my jk since it had 8000m. 33,000m on 35's about 20 of that 33,000 on cragers which put me at 3.0bs, been running toyo 37's for 3000m with the same set-up, no issues as of yet, no DW ever except for the one time I adfjusted too much toe in on the 35's. Maybe I'm lucky?? I off-road average once a month.

The only problem I think you will have is added stress on your front hubs from the 3.125" back space
