Need help setting up a tie rod/steering stabilizer combo..
I decided I am getting a beefier tie rod, but need some help.
Currently I am running the RC single steering stabilizer. It is mounted on my driver side. I am not lifted so it barely clears the drag link as it is and Im sure with a thicker tie rod it won't clear.
My question is what are my options. Do I have to go back to one that used the stock bracket where the track bar is? If so what is a good one that will fit in this location and also come with a bracket that has u bolts big enough to fit over the bigger tie rod?
Also does having the SS back in the stock location put extra stress on the track bar bracket?

The SS doesn't put any stress on the trackbar bracket at all in any location. The SS doesn't have anything to do with the trackbar - it simply is a dampener for the flex in your tie rod, so that you don't feel the vibrations from your steering so much.
IIRC, the RC SS is quite large - just get something cheap and easy, like a Teraflex SS - the SS is really not a major part of your suspension, so I wouldn't put so much thought into making sure its stout. A lot of people run without them all together.
To answer your first question, have you looked at Woods relocation bracket? It flips the SS up top, might make it fit in better than on the front of the tie rod.

well when the steering stabilzer is in the stock location it shares space with the track bar on the track bar axle mount, so wouldn't that add extra stress? I am just wondering where I can get a bracket that will fit around a larger tie rod and still clear the drag link on a non lifted jeep
