Need help on purchasing lift
I need some help deciding on a small lift for my 2010 JK.
I'm looking for a 1.75"-2.5" lift, my JK is daily driven on 33" KM2's and doesn't see the trail all that much (hoping to change that though!).
This is my first 4x4, i've lowered lots of automotive suspension but never lifted anything, so help me out!
So far i've read Zone makes a decent kit, there's also the Rough Country 2.5" Spacer kits that are dirt cheap and the Pro Comp 1.75" Spacer lift that is apparently the same as the Day Star kit?
Now i'm looking at the Rough Country 2.5" Coil lift w/ 2.2 performance shocks. This kit is around $300 and seems to be the best value.
My question is what is the advantage of going with a coil lift or shock vs a spacer lift?
The spacer seems to retain factory ride quality which is a nice bonus.
Who hear daily drives there JK with the 2.2 shocks and coil lift? how's the ride?

to answer your question, the advantage of running a coil lift with new longer shocks is that it will offer you better articulation on the trail. spacers will get your jeep sitting taller but, will not give you the same amount of articulation as new taller coils with longer shocks.

Thanks for the clarification.
I've been using my 33's since jan. '11 with no rubbing issues. I'm sure i'd run into issues offroad during flex though.

I would level it and if it rubs modify or run flat flares. It really depends on what you budget for and how often you see trails. Once you are on trails and run with other guys that have lifts it will sway you towards a coil lift. Get out there.

Rock Krawler has a few affordable options. I don't know if you can spare the coin but, look at the Rock Krawler 2.5" options. The 2.5" Max Travel is a bit more than a $300.00 kit but, it will have you sitting pretty with options for later.
