Default Need help on expedition suspension set up

Ok so I know im not looking for huge lift on the jeep. I have a 2door 2011. Im looking to keep the 32" tires i have right now and i dont see myself going up in tire size for quite some time as i am a college student and funds are tight. Anyway im look for around 1-2.5" of lift but im not sure how to go about it. The way i see it i can put a spacer or i can put a coil. Heres where yalls opinions are gonna be helpfull which do y'all suggest? I dont do much crawling but i hit mild trails mainly to get to mountain bike spots and remot fishing and other outdoor activities.
Thanks in advance
Sam

Well it sounds like a spacer set up could do you just fine. But just remember it's exactly that. Just a spacer and you'll still be using factory coils and what not. Now if your loading up your jeep with a lot of weight but also do want a lot of lift I would highly recommend Old Man Emu 2" suspension lift. Complete kit and have heavy rated shocks so that way your jeep doesn't sag when your weighed down with a bunch of gear.

I agree with what Lolo wrote. An inexpensive option might be to get some Rubi Unlimited owner's OEM take-off springs. That will give you just a little boost (I've heard 0.5-1"), and the stiffer springs of a four door will better deal with the weight increase. I'm not entirely certain, but if it has the trailer package, that may even be a bit stiffer (to help with all of that gear you could potentially pack inside and on top).

I put the rubi max tow package springs and shocks on my 2010 2dr JK. This gave me about 1 1/2" all around but I was on some weaker springs. I have put some decent weight in my rig a couple of times with little to no sag if you will. It's rides a lot stiffer but I have learned from listening to a lot of the old timer on here. I'm riding mine stock for a long time to understand my rig out on the trails.

I have the OME HD coils in my 2 dr., gave me 3" of lift. I would keep you jeep as is and save for coil lift over spacers. Maybe go with OME standard coils and stiffer shocks like Bilstien. Keep lift at 2.5" or you will need to start adding parts!

Check the new MC overland setup. Similar
To AEV but better designed.
